The Equip Auto trade fair in Paris was chosen as the international launch pad for the company’s Chicane masking tape. The event, held last October, brings together the key players in the French automotive industry, and was the perfect vehicle to showcase the numerous advantages of this patented masking tape to industry professionals from around the world.
During the five-day event, live demonstrations were given to show the industry’s professionals how easy it is to apply Chicane in just three steps, and the advantages it offers compared to the traditional masking process, leading to savings in terms of time and materials, as well as providing an excellent finish.
Further interest was sparked in the company’s revolutionary tape when it was given an Automation Innovation award, which was presented to the firm on the first day of the event, at a gala dinner. This prestigious accolade, which was given to MIARCO’s international team attending the event, was awarded by a panel of 50 journalists from 15 countries belonging to the AJTE (Association of Technical and Economic Journalists) and the AFPA (French Automotive Press Association). The accolade rewards MIARCO’s commitment to research and innovation in its development of Chicane.
Since it was launched in March, at the 2017 Motortec fair in Madrid, Chicane has become an overnight success in the automotive industry thanks to its revolutionary approach, and it has become a must in bodywork repair and paint workshops. This success has been replicated in its first international outing.
Its recent presentation in France was the first step in the strategy to launch Chicane on the international stage, a process which is expected to continue in 2018.
